Opieum is a one time password (OTP) generator for iPhone/iPod touch conforming to RFC2289. It supports MD5 and SHA hashes. Given a challenge from a server and your password, Opieum generates a one time password consisting of six short words. These can then be used to log in to the server.
Opieum remembers the count and seed fields from one session to another. One time passwords are presented on a scrolling tape. The next One Time Password in the sequence can be generated by swiping the tape to the left.
Opieum can optionally be configured to remember the password, and to copy the OTP to the clipboard.
If you own a Linux box, you may for example set up your SSH server to accept One Time Passwords. Then, using Opieum you can log in to your server with one time passwords instead of your regular password. This way you can access your server from computers that you otherwise would be hesitant to use because of the risk of your regular password being picked up by a keystroke logger.
Opieum can also be used with your WordPress blog.
